This epic life: why failure is a necessary part of life

As the saying goes, “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived.” We all must go through failures in our lives so that we can learn and grow. However, it seems like more and more people are becoming fearful of failure. The reality is, every single person will eventually encounter a failure in their lives. In fact, every successful person has failed at something in their lives. It’s the way they overcame it that propels them to find success in their lives. When people are successful, we always seem to focus on the successful years as opposed to any struggles these successful people may have encountered. Therefore, it’s important to not be afraid to fail. One of the best things that can happen to you is encountering a failure, and then learning from the experience. Never giving up on your dreams will allow for immense personal growth in your life. All it takes is some courage to look failure in its face and as Queen Bey would say “slay”.

Failure will teach you wonderful life lessons.

If you ever want to grow as a person, you need to fail. Inevitably life will throw curveballs your way, such as failure. It is in those moments when you can fully accept failure as a natural part of life that you can appreciate what it is here to teach you. In fact, understanding yourself better through failure allows you to learn from your perceived mistakes. As a result, you allow yourself the opportunity to rethink your beliefs and discover new strategies towards accomplishing your goals.

Reach for the stars.

Another aspect of failure is that it allows you to soar and reach for your highest potential in life. In fact, failure propels you to push yourself to finish that novel or start that project you’ve been putting off. Once you are able to overcome the fear that your ego mind keeps telling you, you begin to bust through all those blocks that have been stopping you from having your wildest dreams come true. Once you embrace a fearless attitude, you begin to increase your motivation and determination.

Cultivate a humble attitude and build some character.

Failure inevitably builds character and brings some humbleness into your life. In fact, failure can do a number to our ego. It can get bruised. However, understanding that failure is a necessary part of life allows us to learn from our mistakes and gain a new perspective about the situation. The universe has a beautiful way of teaching us the lessons we need to learn until we finally learn the lesson. This may involve failing at things more than once. While your ego may want to be right all the time, it’s important to not succumb to those egoic thoughts. Instead, choosing the voice of love will automatically allow you to view the situation from a loving perspective. As a result, you can begin co-creating with the universe and making your dreams come to fruition.

Your failures do not define you.

While any failure that happens in your life is not your identity, the way you handle the situation can determine the type of person you are. Do you want to be strong and powerful? Then you need to learn how to tackle failure head on. Instead of responding to failure by becoming complacent, take action steps towards your dreams. In fact, listening to motivational speakers or reading motivational quotes right after a failure can be the catalyst that propels you into action.

As much as failure hurts, it is an inevitable part of life. Tackling even the biggest failures in your life makes you grow into a stronger more self-aware human being. As a result, you become a better version of yourself after each and every failure. So the next time you go through a seaming failure in life, don’t get down on yourself, embrace it and move forward continuing to tackle your dreams!

As always, I’d love to hear from all of you. Have you experienced failure that was actually a blessing in disguise? If so, we’d love to hear your stories! Please share in the comments below. I love reading all your comments and feedback!
